Ingrained in Jared Dolce’s memory is this: his father driving the family boat and making bonfires on chilly New Hampshire evenings. He always wore a green fleece jacket. After Jared’s father passed away, he found the jacket in a closet. His mother let him have it.
"From that day forward, now 23 years later, I still have the fleece and still wear it on chilled Summer evenings driving the boat or making bonfires with my kids,” writes Jared.
Jared’s wife Jen had the fleece jacket photographed as a gift. “The picture will be a constant reminder of my Father, New Hampshire, and what a tremendous role model he was to myself and my brothers,” Jared said.
This collaboration tipped the scales of special because this family artifact is CELEBRATED both in how Jared has made it a part of his life, and now, how his wife turned it into art. Thank you, Dolce family! You really get the spirit of The Heirloomist.
