Turn prize possessions and family heirlooms into modern art photographs.

Look at this awesome guy! Meet John Powers of Maine who as a high schooler, bought himself a leather motorcycle jacket from Sears. Ever since, he has been sewing patches onto the jacket that represent every step of his life. The experiences are diverse; he's a living organ donor, world traveler, Grateful Dead fan, and really likes Rage Against the Machine.

Together the patches represent the dynamic human that wears them. Thank you John, for sharing this tapestry of a life well lived.

John was the winner of the Fuller Craft Museum's Memory Keeper contest in honor of The Heriloomist's exhibit there. Other Heirloomist pieces will be on display until March of 2019.
