The Wedding Day Linens

When New York based interior designer Katrina Hernandez was married, her Grandmother, who also had an affinity for decor, gave her a collection of vintage linens. Katrina loved them so much she used one of the runners on her Thanksgiving table this year. Cranberry and gravy stains resulted.
"I don't want to be afraid to use them," she said of the linens. Having a portrait made of them in their pristine condition was her solution. It was a move towards preservation but also a license to enjoy. The Heirloomist whole heartedly adores Katrina for her mix of reverence and realism towards her Grandmother's gift.
Several of the linens are still bundled in twine and hand labeled by her Grandmother…we're betting they will soon be put to good use in this talented designer's home.
